Since 1989 the CDA’s annual National Sun Awareness Week has brought attention and education to Canadians about the dangers of excessive sun exposure, and reduced the incidence of skin cancer in the country. This year’s Sun Awareness Week is currently taking place, from Monday, June 2 to Sunday, June 8, 214.
I wanted to share two sunscreens with you that I’ve recently had the chance to try out on myself and my family!
Aveeno Protect + Hydrate
I tested out the Aveeno Protect + Hydrate SPF 45 sunscreen for face and body and, as with many Aveeno products, I really enjoyed it. The lotion itself is non-greasy, feels moisturizing and soothing on the skin, and has a very nice, light scent. It worked great for both my kids, who have sensitive skin. It was easy to apply and was absorbed quickly without leaving any white residue.
Aveeno’s sunscreen contains natural colloidal oatmeal, clinically proven to reliee and moisturize dry skin. It provides all day hydration to your skin, is waterproof and sweatproof, and leaves your skin feeling healthier than before sun exposure. Aveeno Protect + Hydrate Sunscreen Lotion is available in SPF 30, 45, and 60 and can be found nationwide.
Neutrogena Ultra Sheer
I really enjoyed the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Face Sunscreen in SPF 60. I normally rely on the sunscreen already found in my daily moisturizer and BB creams, but in the summer a higher SPF will definitely do a better job of protecting my skin. The sunscreen lotion goes on a touch thicker than my normal moisturizer, however in about 10 seconds it was absorbed and leaves the skin feeling soft and looking fresh and matte. It worked great under my makeup!
Neutrogena’s sunscreen contains Helioplex protection to provide consistent sun protection, and is waterproof and sweatproof. It contains Dry-Touch technology to provide and ultralight, non-shiny finish. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen is available in SPF 30, 45, 60 and 110 and can be found nationwide.
